Whether you are brand-new to swing dancing or would like to refine your Lindy Hop technique, this is the class for you. In these four sessions, we'll focus on basic 8-count Lindy Hop moves for the brand-new dancers, but we'll concentrate on good technique and connection so there is always something for more experienced swing dancers, too. This class is one step in our two-step beginner track. You must know all the material in the 6-Count and 8-Count Lindy Hop Basics and Fundamentals Classes before moving to advanced beginner classes. Either beginner class may be taken first. No partner required.

This series assumes you have taken both of our beginner classes or the equivalent from another studio. Students are expected to know the six count and eight count Lindy Hop basics. In every series we'll work on new moves, lead and following technique, and styling to make social dancing even more fun! Every advanced beginner series is taught differently so returning students will learn something new.

The Lindy Toolbox or, "how to dance better", will focus on lines, tone, aesthetics, partnership, and musicality. This class will be great for getting deep into the technique of both lead and follow.

Mike and Dan are national level Blues and Lindy Hop dancers. We are bringing them to do a residency in Boston for the month of May because they are great people, dancers, and teachers.

If you haven't already auditioned and placed as an intermediate student, please come to Tuesday night Dojo and let an instructor know that you’d like to audition. Our auditions are very casual and an opportunity to find out what you can work on in your dancing to make Lindy Hopping even more fun. Even if you don't make it into the intermediate level, you'll learn what we think you need to work on to get there.

This class will focus on the differences of ballroomin vs jukin and how to make each dance awesome. You must be an intermediate blues student to take this class.
