Dojo is held the first four Tuesdays of every month from 9-10:30pm. Exact dates are listed here.

At our studio

Dojo costs $5 if you are not taking our beginner or advanced beginner. It is free if you are already enrolled in one of those classes.

Dojo is a Lindy Hop guided practice session. We invite all of our more advanced students to come and work with the beginners and advanced beginners form 9-9:30. Additionally, the teachers of the beginner class stay from 9-9:30 to work with students. Learning from classes is good, but receiving one-on-one help is amazing for solidifying connection technique and practicing everything learned in class. The idea behind Dojo is to greatly accelerate the rate at which our students learn and retain material by giving them a structured place to practice with expert help. Ever heard of the zone of proximal development?

If you are not taking one of our classes, you are still welcome to come and work on your dancing with others.

If you have as much fun dancing as we do and want to get really good so as to enjoy it even more, you should definitely start social dancing in addition to taking classes and attending dojo. See our links page for more details on where to dance. Try to convince your fellow classmates to join you so you know people at the dance.

Other ways to improve include attending private lessons, workshop weekends, camps, and competition weekends.
